Raising Passionate Jesus Followers

Phil and Diane Comer have written the book I wish I'd been given as a new parent. Over the course of some 20 years of parenting, I have read a number of books and I can honestly say that this book is one of the most comprehensive, Biblically sound book I have read.

So much wisdom in this book. Phil and Diane sprinkled wonderful real life examples from their own parenting to illustrate the points they were making. I loved that they had specific helps for every age from your child's birth to their maturity to adulthood.  They included very practical suggestions and helps at every age and stage.

I appreciated the author's genuine desire to help parents set the stage and add the ingredients to family life that will draw a child's heart to God.  They wrote in a very authentic, honest way about their own journey.  For couples who may not have had a Christian example, this is a wonderful glimpse of what a family following hard after Jesus can look like.  Phil and Diane come alongside parents much like a wise mentor would.

This would make an excellent gift for new parents, or even for a newly married couple so they can begin to prepare for parenthood and how to be intentional in their faith and the discipleship of their children.
